they caw and claw all afternoon, catenaries and dirigibles

The only vaguely eventful things that have happened since I posted last were:

- It snowed, except wait, no, it kinda-snowed overnight and then hailed all morning including during my giant walk during studio. And then I killed everyone.

- I almost collapsed into hysterical tears when Andrew Bird as Dr. Stringz was removed from YouTube by Viacom. Quite literally.

- I walked by Judson Memorial Church at around 3:30 PM on Tuesday, and people were already starting to line up for The Arcade Fire's concert, the first of the series of five at the lovely church which I woke up on 9 January at 9 AM to buy tickets for, only I was living in the Pacific Time Zone at the time. Which my brain decided to ...forget about... so when I went online each concert was already sold out. The structures of those sentences were terrible, but I don't care, because these are now the fifth-sixth-seventh-eighth-ninth concerts of theirs I've messed up buying tickets for since November of 2004. And I walk by Judson Memorial almost every day. And it hurts. So my mood is even worse. ETA: Oh, and? The Pogues are playing in New York for St. Patrick's Day just like last year, only there are three concerts. But just like last year [their first concert in...EVER!], I will be 3,000 miles away. Pooh.

But on the bright side, I am seeing a free screening of the probable crapfest that is Penelope tonight. It's all Roomie J's doing, we see the terrible trailer every time we go to a film at our neighbourhood Clearview Cinema, and each time it comes up I flail a little in my chair. For the McAvoy, naturally, but somehow she and I have acquired this ridiculous loaving [loathe/love, trademark octopedingenue circa...2004?] for it and she signed us up for this free screening without even thinking. Which is why she's my roommate. ;)

And yes, I am listening to the reggaeton remix of Bridges and Balloons. ♥♥
