Aaand here's my review.
FELIX. GAETA. WITH. HIS. TATTOO.
*snarfles to death*
I'm not sure what snarfling is, but it's something to do with the inner conflict between laughing so hard that I choke and wanting to reach into the [TINY] tv screen and give Felix a big hug.
I mean. Felix. Could they have given him a better name? Yes, Gaylord, but I didn't see that happening onscreen any time soon.
But spelling geek that I am, I am delighted that we ALL NOW KNOW HOW TO SPELL SAUL TIGH. *cough* And Anastasia Dualla! Awwww, Dee.
Lucy Lawless was pretty much fucking awesome. B'Elanna D'Anna Biers. Nice. And while I thought it would be too obvious for her to be a Cylon when I first saw the *preview*, by the end of the episode I was pretty much convinced that she was a good old tricksy human. Complete with cheesey montage-making capabilities.
D'Anna filming everyone -- oh my gods. Tigh: "Would you get out of my FACE?!" That's almost as hilarious as the "Why aren't YOU in the brig?" Some of the dialogue I missed because I was watching it on my suitemate's [TINY] TV...while another one of my suitemates was watching what seemed like ALL THREE LotR films in her room. On full blast. So I rewatched it this afternoon, using the torrent that took 50-odd minutes to download this morning. Oh possibly-T3-speed-internet, I love you.
And Kat, poor Kat. She was my favourite of the nuggets, and now she feels ashamed. Waaah. :(
Um, so I've been trying to hold off on the pilot's duty locker scene for this entire review, but it won't work any longer.
"And that's pronounced, ASAP."
SNARKYAPOLLOLOVE. And. The towel. Okay, I am hardly the first to question gratuity. And I really, really wouldn't need to, except for the SIZE of the towel. I'm not saying I didn't enjoy what it gave me, but it was seriously too small for him. It was not a normal sized towel.
Having said that? Algvblsiuhkb. Lee all manly and strutting and KARA being all, "Bitch, I know poetry!" Also, if Andrew was behind the camera [he SO SHOULD HAVE BEEN!] he would have mentioned something about sexual tension you could cut with a knife.
Lee and Kara having their little conversation in the Viper hangar. "Did you get all of that?" Oh, love.
Saul Tigh and Ellen and Palladino's story was very interesting. I think Tigh played Palladino very competently and pretty compassionately, given the circumstances. Maybe he's getting tired of Adama having to apologize for him. Like I've said before, I really hope Ellen's human, because she sure as hell is a pretty human character. I hate her half of the time, but I actually didn't in this episode. She's nowhere near being my favourite, but I think I get her as a character. She's just...not a very nice one, and not good for Tigh in the slightest. Also, I STILL need to see her arc with Zarek [from Colonial Day] play out.
While this wasn't the most OMGEXCITING episode, it had some great character moments and I fully enjoyed it.
OH MY GOODNESS. *That* is what I remember her from. Kandyse McClure played Anna [AKA The Famous Jett Jackson's girlfriend] in the Jake 2.0 episode "The Prince and the Revolution".
So there's
this picture for next week. And IMO, it's not very spoilery -- especially if you've seen next week's trailer, but if you're a -phobe, don't read on. :)

From the looks of it [and the trailer], looks like they might be going the way of My Kink. Maybe not with the entire ship, but probably for Lee and Kara. The "Everyone ALMOST Dies" scenario. It's going to be like Out of Gas, like The Flax. I would say like Død Kalm, 'cept that one chills me in a way that the others don't, and I really hope Lee and Kara don't get all old-looking. *g* But oh my goodness, I can just imagine from this picture: the reaching out, the last breaths, the desperate struggle for life, for each other.
Or I could be WAY far off. But I hope it goes this way. And I hope it goes the way of The Flax. MMMpilotsex.
I am going to die when BSG goes on hiatus. From the end of September to January? January?
Just so everyone knows, I still hate this icon. I don't know what's wrong with my iconning muse/skills right now, and now that I finally have Creative Suite, it's driving me insane. But I can't get rid of this one until I make some new ones. Perhaps I shall do that now.
