I rarely answer my house phone cos everyone who wants to talk to ME calls my cell phone. But since I had just been talking to Dadmac (he and Mommac are up in Mendecino for their anniversary), the phone was right next to my computer. Five seconds ago, it rings. I answer. (The italics are the caller.)
"Hello?"
"Is your refrigerator running?"
(and, before I could say ANYTHING, let alone insert, "You ARE creative, aren't you?")
"Then you'd better catch it! Hahaha!" Click.
...I...feel so disappointed. My very first prank caller (I've been lucky) let me down.
Come ON. At least you could have done it the Peter Griffin way. "Excuse me, is your refrigerator running? Because if it is, it probably runs like you, very homosexually."
