Apparently there's going to be a sequel. I don't think there's much past the fact that David, Gillian, and Chris Carter are all on board.

Yes! And you have it listed in your userinfo with "Upcoming Films". I just only know about it because there was an article in the SF Chronicle the weekend that the series finale aired, and CC was talking about a second film. And I think I heard that they're really starting it up again now? Perhaps?

I have no idea where I read that they are going to start it up again but I KNOW I read it. I just hope we don't have to wait until December 22nd, 2012. Like, "HAHA, you have to wait 8 MORE YEARS for the movie just so it can open on the day aliens will supposedly take over the planet!! We're so clever!!"

Well, while it definitely jumped the shark IMO, I just meant I didn't want it to jump the shark AGAIN. Y'know what I mean? Cos the movie just opens all sorts of new jumping opportunities, especially with how the series ended.
