because the music had so much class

You know when you've listened to this song one too many times when you realize you can make all of the DJ's scratching noises right on the beat.

For everyone who's been wondering about the mysterious release of Garden State, this is the story. It was released in New York City and Los Angeles on July 23, and will be released in select cities on August 6.

Good thing I live right outside of a select city. Isa and I are going into San Francisco to see the 7:00 PM showing at the Bridge on opening night. It's going to be fucking awesome.

Last night I went to a bonfire party out on Muir Beach. I met a guy from UC Davis who somehow ended up with a guitar and we all started singing along to 'The General,' 'Save Tonight,' 'Crazy Train' and a bunch of Sublime, Zeppelin, AC/DC and Tenacious D songs. Then he started busting out with 'Dead Leaves And The Dirty Ground' and 'Ball And Biscuit' and I was the only one who recognized them. Which was sad. Also sad was the fact that I was smooshed between a drunk girl and a tone deaf one. Whom I later taught how to do the electric slide. But a definite plus was 10 people shouting, "Take off your blouse and your UNDERPANTS!" Not quite Jack Black, but it was close.

People were talking about Spider-man 2 and I started babbling about James Franco and Freaks And Geeks and a girl I knew said, "DANIEL DESARIO?" And then we bonded.

Some genius found a pillow and put it on the fire. The cotton burned, but soon enough the polyester melted. I feel bad for anyone who was breathing the smoke that came from that.

This has been in the Pink [A&E Section of the Sunday San Francisco Chronicle] every Sunday for the past three weeks. I fully expect it to open the week of my birthday as TEH BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT EVAH.
