The Demon's Lexicon author writes short stories and The Arundel Tomb provides captivating insight into the women in Daniel Ryves life. The dark and dangerously magical Olivia, the unhealthy and delightfully musical Marie Walsh, both lonely and pulled into the bright warmth Daniel projects.

Her last two story posts were Part 1 and Part 2 of the Sorcerer and Stone a look at the very youthful and surprising magicians Gerald and his childhood. His parents were aware of his talents and not particularly pleased with them resulting in an early difficult initiation to a world requiring understanding and knowledge of people and affairs beyond that of most adults.

Both these stories are set in The Demons Lexicon although it is not necessary to have read the book but I really cannot understand why anyone would not have read the book as it is awesome. The four main characters dealing with demons, dishes and each other are viewed through the lens of Nick Ryves -pronounced to rhyme with knives- who happens to be the silent partner. The more talkative and charming Ryves bother Alan accepts the challenges of taking in tourists to their reality. The tourists Mae and Jamie, are both different, excitable and have a tendency to take to extremes, they differ in that Mae is upfront and confidant while Jamie plays his cards close and nervously. Please go read it.
