Been awhile...

OK, I think when I last updated it was the first day of taking my HIV-preventative meds. I ended with the statement I felt like I was going to be sick. I was. I was sick for a week. Sick as a dog. After being on them for a week I was so sick that all I could eat was broth, bananas, yogurt, and toast. I lost 5ish pounds. I went to see Dr. J and he switched one of them and I am doing much better. The new med gives me sleeping problems like strange dreams. I also sleep very heavy, like I'm in a coma or something. When I get up in the morning I feel like a zombie for a few hours. And about and hour after I take the medication (right before bedtime) I feel like I've eaten a bad batch of hash brownies. I feel like I am having a hot flash and can't think straight or even walk straight. I try and fall asleep before this kicks in. As bad as it sounds, it's nothing compared to the old med. Let's see, what else... My cat Binx got a bad UTI again. He just had one a couple months ago and now we are dealing with it again. This one had tons of the crystals that they get which can be bad; if they form stones they can block his little PP and kill him. We had to take him to the emergency vet (it was a Sunday morning) and it cosr $200! It was $75 just to be seen plus the meds and testing. He seems to have improved but isn't in the clear yet. He is also very clingy now. You can't get this cat to leave us alone! Constantly underfoot, on your lap, etc. Meowing all the time (which isn't like him) and just a constant attention whore. I noticed this right before he got sick and it hasn't let up. I love him, but yeesh...
