Innkeepers- LegendLand Ficlet
Title: Innkeepers (Two Broke Girls/ Legend of the Seeker Crossover)
Rating: PG-13
Characters: Max, Caroline, Kahlan, Cara, Richard, Zedd
Summary: Max and Caroline find them in a an inn in the Midlands!
“Max!” Caroline yelled as she pushes her way through the swinging door that lead from the kitchen to the restaurant. “Look what I found!”
“Did my lost band aid finally show up?” Max asks.
“No, and ew,” Caroline scrunches her nose. “I found what I thought was a shiny golf ball, but it looks like it’s made of pure silver! Do you know how much this could be worth?” Caroline shows her the smooth silver ball.
“I have never seen a ball like that,” Max studies it. “And I have seen a lot of balls.” Just as Caroline is about to respond a bright light engulfs them. “Holy shit! Where did this come from? Gandalf?” Max squints as she begins open her eyes.
“Max! Where are we?” Caroline’s mouth falls open.
“Don’t ask me. You are the one who found it!” Max tells her. They look around and find themselves outside a tavern surrounded by a forest.
“Let’s go inside and see if someone can tell us where we are,” Caroline says.
“If Hannibal Lector is in there, every woman for herself,” Max comments as they walk inside.

They enter the noisy inn where men and woman are abundant, drinking, eating, and flirting.
“Uh, excuse me,” Caroline approaches the hefty woman behind the wooden counter.
“About time you two show up! I need help!” She spits at them and hands them trays of what appears to be wine and bread. “Now get to work!”
“Whoa, did that heifer just tell us to serve these hooligans?” Max waves her hand in the air.
“Well at least she doesn’t appear to be a mass psychotic murder,” Caroline adds. “Let’s just try and fit in and ask around to see if we can figure out what happened.”
“Alright,” Max huffs. “If I can survive Oleg’s derogatory comments, I can handle some toothless Sir Arthur wannabes.”

Kahlan smiles in relief at the sight of the inn. All of them have been traveling for days and needed a nice rest. She couldn’t think of anything better than lying in a bed with Richard. Him and Zedd would be meeting her and Cara soon. Her heart leapt at the thought.
Cara pushed the door open and entered the noisy tavern section of the inn. No sign of Zedd or Richard yet.
“I will ask someone if they have seen Richard or Zedd,” Cara tells her as they walk towards the counter. Two women were standing there discussing something or other.

“That man gave me gold coins!” Max explained! “I wonder what he would give me if I unbuttoned another button!”
“All they do is laugh when I ask them where we are!” Caroline sighs in frustration.
“Excuse me,” a voice interrupts them. Max and Caroline turn to see a blond in red leather and a brunette in a white dress.
“Holy shit! Is that leather?” Max reaches out to touch Cara. Cara quickly steps back and glares.
“We are looking for an older gentleman with great hair who is with a young man,” Cara tells her.
“Whoa, ladies, this is not that kind of place,” Max tells them.
“No, they are traveling together. They were going to meet us here,” Kahlan interjects.
“Sorry, I have not seen a pair like that,” Caroline responds.
“Is that what I think it is?” Max points at Cara’s agiels. Cara cocks her head and raises an eyebrow.
“And what do you think it is?”
“An adult toy! You just wear them on your belt? What kind of world is this?” Max laughs.
“It is an agiel,” Cara huffs and crosses her arms.
“Oh, is that what they call it here?” Max exclaims.
“Hey, they sort of match your description,” Caroline points towards the door.
“Richard!” Kahlan exclaims. Richard hears her voice and runs over to her. They immediately lock in a heated embrace.
“Dude, I am pretty sure we are in some sort of kinky brothel,” Max tells Caroline.
“Kahlan! Cara! So good to see you both!” Zedd exclaims.
“Likewise,” Cara nods her head.
“Are there any rooms available?” Richard asks Max.
“Oh, I am sure I can find some room for you,” Max winks.
“Max!” Caroline chastises her. “Actually, can you tell us where we are? We found this ball thing and found ourselves here.” Caroline shows the ball to Zedd who takes it in his hand.
“Oh, it’s his ball! That is kind of disturbing…” Max whispers.
“This is a transporter. This can transport someone some place one and return them again,” Zedd explains.
“Do you know how to use it? I really want to go home. Running water and all that,” Caroline smiles.
“Let’s see,” Zedd hands the ball back to Caroline. “Both of you hold it,” he instructs them. He then whispers some words, causing the ball to glow and engulf them.

Caroline bolts awake in her bed.
“Max!” She screams and catapults out of bed. Max runs out of her room, holding a baseball bat.
“What! Are we getting robbed?” Max screams and scans the room.
“No! I have to tell you about my dream!”Caroline exclaims.
“You woke me up to tell me about some cupcake induced wet dreams?” Max frowns.
“It was kind of scary,” Caroline pouts.
“Alright, tell me,” Max rolls her eyes as Caroline begins her story...
