Here we go! Im at work.. Im tired. I don’t feel like working… so I figured I might as well update my Livejournal before I get even more hopelessly behind.

My posts are not going to be in the right order… I wonder if I could post with a date in the past, probably not. So it’ll be a bit mixed up and confusing.. but then again, that’s how my life is at the moment lol. My weekend was amazing though, so I want to post about it first!!

This weekend, Kris and I went to London. I thought I had everything taken care of … except when we got to the train station it turned out I looked at the arrival hour instead of the departure and we missed our train *facepalm*. We could get on the next train, but we needed to pay extra. Money that we both couldn’t really spare right now =/ Great start of our holiday… sorry Kris lol. We rushed to our hotel, checked in, and tried to rush to a theatre performance that I got tickets for (the matinee, 2:30 pm) but we got a bit lost too. Luckily we were still in time.

That wasn’t just any show though… that was Much Ado About Nothing by William Shakespeare, starring David Tennant and Catherine Tate (who are also known as The Doctor Who and The Doctor Donna!). And those weren’t just any tickets, we were sitting front row and center!! The theatre was a lot smaller than I thought it would be, and we were soo close to the stage. David performed using his normal Scottish accent, which was just sooo incredibly sexy. And we were sitting so close… I already said that didn’t I? The whole show was a modern take on the play by Shakespeare, I prefer the classic one but I do admit that it was very well done. And Catherine and David just made it spectacular. I laughed so incredibly hard at times, like when Catherine was flying in the air and got distracted from her lines for a minute and when her top opened up. Or when David came out wearing a short skirt and danced like a woman. They feed off eachother so well too, so much fun to see. I loved it! Also… David looks amazing in dress whites. *drooooool* And he spit on us a couple of times lol god bless the old English language.

When it was over, we went to eat and came right back to the theatre to wait at the stage exit, even before the evening show started. Good thing we did, because there were already people there waiting. It was absolute madness when they finally did come out. But Kris and I managed to get pictures with Catherine and David, which just made my weekend!!!! And we met some nice other fans while waiting, we were discussing Dr Who and such, which made it a fun wait. Kris and I bounced and giggled back to our hotel. =)

On Sunday we went to the Dr Who Experience, which was so much fun too. There’s a sort of mission you have to go through, to save the doctor (Matt Smith). It’s very well done, nice effects and sets etc! And then there’s an exhibition with original costumes etc. Kris and I were kids again and took pictures of everything (especially anything with David Tennant on it lol). Unfortunately at the end of the experience was a gift shop that we did not survive… I just loved it that there were lots of parents with their kids, trying to explain to them the value of money “ you can have one of these two.. not both” and then we just went through the shop like MINE MINE MINE MINEMINEEE!!!! We came out buried in plastic bags. I bought a sonic screwdriver with sound effects, and a Tardis with sound/visual effects. And audiobooks… and some other small things. I cant wait to go home and play with them! And watch the new Dr Who episode that I missed because I was too busy meeting David Tennant. EEEEEE it was amazing!!! Im so in love with David Tennant lol. My doctor <3 and Catherine is so very sweet. The doctor Donna <3

travel, drwho
