1. Renovations: Our kitchen reno is starting tomorrow. We've got everything moved out of the kitchen, and a subset of it set up in Marc's office to use as a makeshift kitchen for the next two weeks. It's been a bit of an adjustment... but at least it's only for two weeks, and at the end of it we'll have a brand-new kitchen. Focus on the positive, and not the fact that nothing is actually covered in plastic yet.
2. Gaming: Continues apace. The finale of 7th Sea will be this Saturday, and will last either one or two sessions, depending on how fast we go. I've gotta say, it's really nice to see a game through to an actual conclusion, and not just fizzle away because of scheduling problems. Heavy Gear is also lots of fun, as always. The rest of my games... well, let's just say they're either not very frequent, or not super-amazing. A lot of them are new, though, so I'm hoping things pick up.
3. SCA: Sadly, letting it slide. Completely skipped out on yesterday's local event so that I could work on the kitchen, and I've been letting my saint stories lapse as well. I'm about 30 pages behind where I should be in the Golden Legend, which isn't an insurmountable gap, but I really should get back into it if I want to be ready by Pennsic.
4. Pennsic: Speaking of Pennsic, I'll only be going for Peace Week this year, probably arriving first Saturday and leaving middle Saturday. I'm sad that I won't get to do the two full weeks, but at least I'm getting something. Also, I really should start planning some garb and bardic stuff at some point, to say nothing about classes and scheduling. (Yes, I know we're only February. Pennsic's only 5 months away!)
5. Almost an Auntie: Marc's sister-in-law is due pretty much any day now. In fact, her "official" due date was today. Still no baby yet, but soon, very soon. I just wish I could cook food for the new parents, but see #1 above. Oh, well. I'm sure they'll still want food in a few weeks.
6. Work: Was very busy two weeks ago, but has mostly settled down for now. Stuff will probably pick up around March, when we start really ramping up for the Annual Meeting in September, but I'm now in that nice little phase where most of the membership renewals have been done, but I don't have any other big projects just yet.
7. Exercise: I admit, I weigh more now than I've ever weighed in my life. I bought some new jeans last week, and I'm a size 14, which is pretty much the biggest size I've ever worn. On the other hand, it'll probably start being warm enough in a few weeks that I can start walking to or from work without invoking the asthma demons, and soon Zombies Run 2 will come out, which makes me super, super happy. Even if it's another $8, I consider it money well spent. Definitely cheaper than the gym, or even an audio book, which is effectively what it is.
