the baby bird (she as just hatched like a week ago, she's THAT tiny) is alive this morning. i feel like i beat death for once in my life. i was so scared this morning, i could hardly look at her. she ate a few big bites then went back to sleep, it's not quite dawn. she's not quite ready to wake up. i need more sleep, i was so so afraid all night. & he said not to get attached.
