Okay, so technically I'm a day late on my New Year's obligatory post, but yesterday I was SUPER hungover for most of the day. There were many rounds of ibuprofin, and I finally started feeling better this morning.
I'm glad 2008 is over - a good part of the year sucked big time with the one gleaming beacon of an exception of me getting The Job. (Backpedal: And the good friends and acquaintances I've had who have managed not to stab me in the back. I sincerely appreciate you guys).
The New Year's Eve party was a blast. I have not been that drunk since the last time I was that drunk. And bonus = no vomiting by any of the partiers!! Whohooo!
My goals of 2009 include to eat healthier (which I have already fucked up royally both yesterday and today, but damn that burger was good), and get more exercise than the intermittent use of my pole dancing instructional videos. I want 2009 to be a year that I embrace all the positive influences in my life, let go of the not so positive ones, and just be more optimistic in general.
As a final thought - this Nouvelle Vague song "Dance with Me" has been stuck in my head aaaaaaaaaaaaaalllllllll freakin day. Honestly I've been listening to a lot of their stuff lately, and this is the only song of theirs that screams: "Melina! We made this one for you!" So I thought I'd share. Hopefully you all will find it as terribly addicting as I have. Muahahahahaha!
