This is a lyric i'm working on for the story i'm working on.
Er... Let me rephrase that.
'The key' is a song that play a major part in a story I'm working on. Granted, the story itself is in research stage still, but i can't get the idea out of my head, so I wrote it down.
The message of the song that the protagonist try to relay to his significant other is that though she wouldn't allow him to be part of her life (due to the circumstances that surrounds them), he wanted to let her know that he'll give the key of his life, that at the very least he offer himself to her and it's up to her to make the choice.
So far, I've only worked on the chorus. Read and leave a comment to let me know what do you think. Suggestion is highly encourage.
Anyway, don't press the cut below if you're not interested.
The key you gave me,
is yours as much as mine,
My door is always there for you,
and I leave the choice,
to come in or not.
And if you like the lyric, even a bit; here's the scene that inspire the song that the protagonist wrote for her.
WARNING: Grammatical mistakes that may make you eyes bleed.
"I despised this world. A world full of conspiracy and blood, where the only trust you can have is within a gun." Zack could see that she was keeping a tight rein on her feelings. She didn't cry or scream histerically, but her body shook with pent-up emotions.
With a long shaky sigh, she continued. "But it's the only world i belong to." Zack didn't like the sound of resignation tone underlying her voice.
Not one bit.
Zack make his way towards her as she slightly turned around at his approach. He could see the sadness and hopelessness in her eyes when it finally occured to him; he didn't know what can he do...
So he resorted to his bad habit when it comes to her.
He flicked her forehead.
Zack would've laugh at her expression if the situation was not serious. The underworld heiress looked funny when she's confused and surprised at the same time.
"Idiot." Zack said as he lean against the verandah railing. Looking up at the stars, not that any can be seen with the amount of lights the mansion switch on, he continued. "Just because it's the only world you knew, it doesn't mean it's the only world you belonged to." He could tell that Elle wanted to protest but he didn't expect what came out of her mouth.
"Then, if i don't belong in this world, where do i belong?" Zack could hear a tinge of hope in her voice, and knew that his next words need to be carefully thought of.
"It's up to you, Elle." He said after moments of silence. "Open a door and explore a new world. If you don't like it, move to the next one." Zack turned around and face her as he leaned his back against the verandah" railing. "No one can tell you where do you belong."
He could see that she was doubtful about the whole thing and he hated her father a little bur for putting all this thoughts into her. He wanted her to see that there are a lot of people that who would like to be with her, to get to know her. But thanks to her father, she couldn't see that. She couldn't see that people are willing to share their world with her.
"Though, Elle?" There are people who would willing to be her friend, Organized crime and all.
"For what its worth..." and she shold know...
"...I would like you to be in my world."
...that he's one of those people.
So?
