I realised something... as I'm conducting a merdeka program for my mahallah, how unpatriotic i am and how unaffected i am to the concerns of the country (except on the rise of petrol price). Heck, after reading Cappy's entry on the badminton tournament, I realised how detached i am from things that most malaysians would concern themselves over

Eh...I feel the same way. The way I see it, I'm just so tired of the ridiculousness of the political situation back home that I could care less of the fact that it's going to be merdeka day back home soon. In fact, I had quite almost forgotten about it if there hadn't been a Singapore Night celebrating their country's independence and then a Malaysia Night following that next Friday.
