Maybe it´s because I´m a bit slow on the uptake, but when I work on an illustration or comic adaptation for one of Cyc´s stories I naturally read the text over and over and over again. And over and over again, I am fascinated, captivated by and enamored of the tale. With every rereading I seem to pick up a detail that I missed before, that is so cleverly placed and adds so much insight. I still get the same flutter of excitement after the 25th read, and somewhere around the 50th I fully realise just how perfect these stories really are.
