I'm working on a song

I got my drivers license a few weeks ago, and that has been cool, but it hasn't been as good as I had planned. I don't have a car you see, and so I drive my mother's honda odessy. ( Its the silver kind. I think its fun. I'm not allowed to drive with any friends, so there is nothing to distract me but my loud music. While I was on my way to Andrea's house a few nights back I found myself next to a couple of cute teens on the street-portion of Causeway. I looked over - nodded - mouthed the words "this is mine" while nodding again and pointing into the seat. They laughed. I drove away. I'll most likely never see them again.

Anyway, on Friday night, I didnt have access to the car because my parents took it to do something - i dont remember now - and so I was home alone - the twins were gone too - and so I worked a little bit and talked to some people online, but couldnt really get in touch with anyone. Oh well.

There are some times when I just really want to play piano and write some new music. Friday was one of those times. It was about 10 o'clock and I went downstairs to the living room and sat down at the piano. I hit a few chords that i use somewhat regularly and decided to stop. I said to myself (in my head of course... out loud would be crazy) "I want to write a song." and proceeded to pick out random notes - playing anything or everything. I heard some notes i liked and then just sorta started playing. I stopped the randomness and started to think about some music and started playing. Words and feelings started to rush to me and I stopped and ran upstairs to write some words down. Alot kept flowing and i printed em out and went back downstairs.

I played it again today and i really like the feel of it. It is somewhat similar to what my last entry is - but in music form. I really feel that music can convey words, sometimes even better than words can themselves, and so I think i might work on the song a little bit more and try to record it so i dont forget. If i like what comes from that, i might share it with you all.

I'll keep you posted.
