(no subject)
I'll update this to spite those who claim I never make entries. So Pffffft!
I've always hated updating these things when life is going well. It seems like bragging or something. I suppose mostly posting when things suck also gives the wrong impression about me and my life.
I'm as busy as I like to be at the moment. Work, ride, playing housewife, and giving my art some much needed time.
I made three ceramic pieces that I submitted to the Seattle Erotic art show. I haven't heard back from them so I'm thinking that I may not be accepted. It's hard to say as the show isn't until march. The pictures of the pieces don't really do them justice, but that's what I had to send to them. There is also the possibility that I didn't technically make the deadline. I submitted before midnight on the last day, but I didn't get a confirmation email until 2am. Who knows?! I'm at the moment making a series of faces, sort of mask like but each one is a different person, different expression. I rather like them.
We bought some new brushes and a pair of stretched canvases. Beau wants me to paint him a monkey like Zim and Gir have in their house on the wall. I also have had this other idea in my head for months. I'm still waiting for my order from Cheap Joe's art supply. I got a gift certificate for Christmas. I ordered a nice easel, some paint to expand my palette, and a book called the Color Mixing Bible. I want them already. I wish I'd written down the number on the certificate before I mailed in my order. I hope it didn't get lost somewhere along the way. I want my easel. I've never had a proper easel.
