I need help

So, the sophmores in my wing are moving into an apartment next year. They don't have one yet, but are looking. Lauren asked me if I wanted to be her roommate. I can't decide what I want to do.

It's a pretty big decision; I don't know if it's one anybody else can make for you. You have a pretty good list down, so regardless of the outcome, take comfort in the fact that this is something you thought hard about and not accepted/declined on impulse.

I don't know if you are taking out student loans or not, and I'm sure you already know this, but student loans are way less expensive in the long run than regular ones. I'm such a hypocrite because I totally would want to move out too, but you are going to have to deal with paying bills and rent the rest of your life, why start right now? And what happens if you get sick of the people you live with? You can't just go over to someone else's room and escape for a while (or at least it would be harder). Anyway, good luck! I know you'll be happy either way!

I guess all I have to say is that you have a really good list. However are you really going to want to walk really far in the winter and rent and food are not cheap. Don't forget you might need renter's insurence. But if these things aren't a big deal than I would say go for it. Noncommunal bathrooms is definitly a plus and campus food gets kinda old, at least mine does. Good luck with the decision.
