I've been sending around a google doc of itinerary locations that I've been interested in. This weekend, my dad was kind enough to give me his list of top worldwide destinations. In many places we matched, and he pointed out a lot of new things that I amended to my list. However, he indicated a general discouragement towards Indonesia and Malaysia, both on my list. He also expressed concern about places like Jordan and Syria, which may be stunning, but perhaps there is a better time for.

What would you avoid? What do you think regarding Malaysia and Indonesia?
