A Formal Invitation
In the pre-democracy era in Japanese history, the art of poetry was held in high regard. Because of this, friendly challenges of haiku contests were common to describe scenes, emotions, and just about anything mentally conjured. In this spirit I will be introducing daily haiku contests which I invite you to participate in. Each day will have a different topic or set of keywords to work from. The next day I will setup a poll if people want to have it as voted contest or have everyone rate themselves, whatever people would like.
Remember, the format for haiku is 5 syllables, 7 syllables, 5 syllables and a rhyme scheme is not required.
The current theme will end at 12:00 AM on Jan 29th when a new topic will be added.
