I remember being overly sensitive, then I woke up and realized that I'd fallen asleep with the Oxygen Network on. Blah, blah, blah quit whining.
Downtown Wed. night, first Red Square then Room 3 Nine after a lengthy meal at Friday's because service was slow, Thomas nearly went into shock upon finding out there were no martini glasses at the bar, and our waitress was all over the place. Per the norm, both places were very chill, even with the bar at Red Square looking much more chaotic than it really is. Once we headed out to 3 Nine, time to sit back, chill out to the personally compiled mix (which actually included some Dee-Lite) and again met interesting people. Saw a guy holding a box of cds for sale coming back from the dj setup and asked him what kinda music it was. Said it was hip hop, but fused with lots of different styles of music and lyrical flow. His group is called The Solillaquists of Sound.
IT'S REAL RAP, REAL HIP HOP AND IT'S FROM ORLANDO!!! Glory be, serendipity, fate, manifestation of good karma, or whatever made that chance encounter happen. I'm going to check them out soon at Back Booth, so let me know if you want to check their show out. The guy's name was DiVinci and from him I bought their most recent studio cd, live album, and an instrumentals. Nice, really nice.

Tomorrow is my brother's birthday dinner with our fam., but his actual birthday is the 4th.
New job is going great, awesome people, awesome ideas, and an even better future in our industry.
