Well, it's happened. Xander made me proud again.
I should explain. I have taught him to tell Karen she's lost weight. He says this quite often. "Mommy, you've lost weight!" I figure that's what Karen REALLY wants to hear ... she may disagree. In any case, it's cute. I've had some success in getting him to say "May the Force Be With You" but nothing was as successful as the "lost weight" campaign. Which honestly wasn't intended to be something he'd say for years, but it got a good reaction the FIRST time so ...
Anyway. Xander and I were at the window looking at Karen in the yard. She was fairly attractive. Red hair shining in the sun, sweet body, beautiful face smiling up at us ... so naturally I got the boy to say "Hey good lookin'! Whatcha got cookin'!" Which he very gleefully DID. Only he added the word "today": "Hey good lookin'! Whatcha got cookin' today!" He got most of the words right. It was fairly entertaining. Karen laughed. This encouraged the boy. So he said it again. And again. I'm so proud.
I did consider teaching him to say "shake it don't break it hot mama" but I did not want Karen to decide that she would in fact break it, where the "it" would be my face, so I did something very rare for me and restrained myself.
