I went up to Kt's cottage after work on Friday with her and her dad. The drive was annoying, and it took us about four hours to make a 2.5 hour trip. We stopped at a Damon's to eat dinner. Good food, but a tad expensive if you ask me. We didn't do a whole lot that first night, and Kt and I had to sleep separately for the whole weekend which felt odd not to feel her next to me at night. Saturday I met the Dippels and they were very nice. The kids invited me to help them build a "river" in the sand. It was a lot of fun, I hadn't played in the sand in so long. The whole atmosphere up there was very different from what I'm used to. Everyone was so laid back and it was a relaxing time. We'd do whatever came up, and plans weren't really made except for watching X3. They don't even lock their doors, which I found a little weird, but it really fit with them. The kids would just come over to visit, and they were good kids. Kt bought a 1000 piece puzzle for us to work on and give to her dad. The kids worked on a puzzle of their own quietly, which was nice. Dork that I am, I stayed up till 4 on Saturday to finish the bottom third of our puzzle. Overall, the weekend was amazing because I got to spend time with Kt, and it felt like I belonged there. I shouldn't be surprised, after all, pretty much throughout our relationship things have just felt right. On Sunday morning there was a thunderstorm which woke me up. I automatically got up to go hold Kt because she doesn't like storms and sat with her until the storm had mostly subsided. I love her, and we just may freak out Cindi soon.... :)
