we finally did it! We got our place. Better than where we wanted. Better price than we ever expected. A little history on the house hunt.
First HOUSE= Lost to another person after to much of a delay
2 place. Apt.= Too far from everywhere we needed to be
3rd place.House.= Went from RENT to SALE overnight
4th Place House= Toooo far for everyone but me.
5th place. Apt= PERFECTION!
Its right downtown. 3 blocks from my job. Direct bus route to school.
3 bed rooms. 2 bathrooms, its on the 6th floor which is the top.
I have always, always wanted a place on the top floor.
Im always dicked with the 2nd floor. ALWAYS!
And unlike Denver, the rent doesnt go higher with the height of the floor.
The rent is $630 a month.
$180 less than what i was dishing out for a place in D-town,second floor,2 bd,1 bth.
Fuck that.
You can tell its an old building, but its soooooo awesome.
The windows are huge and there is a fire escape is right outside of one of them so we
can get right up to the roof. The walls inside are all white...of course. I think we plan on
changing that. Im not sure how cool the land lord will be with that, so we will either ask and risk her saying no
or we can just do it and loose our deposit in a year...no biggie.
We signed all the paper work the other day and we can move in on the first. We would have been in already
but they were still fixing it up for us. So to make up for it, they are giving us June for half month's rent.
Thats fuckin rad.
So you know....eat that!
