So today, I got news that because nobody volunteered to cross-train in another department when it was offered (because, you know, most of what I hear is how utterly horrible it is, and how it's easily the most avoided) they're gonna do a 40-employee draft with the names being revealed tomorrow, I believe.

At first, I wasn't too worried, since they said they'd be taking employees that have already been cross-trained and have the experience to work there before they start taking those who have no idea how the department works. Makes sense. But then I heard from one of the supervisors that they might be doing "Reverse Seniority", as in the newer employees first.

That? Has me terrified.

Both methods make sense, but if it turns out that I get picked to go the other department, I might just say "fuck you" to job stability. Not that I'm going to quit right away, just update my resume and renew my job hunt a lot earlier than planned.
