Okay, Rach, you can write presents for me any day. :) You write such wonderful *guys*. After myself just finishing writing two stories where I thought I had either Bruce or Clark seeming too girlish, it was such a joy to read this, where both guys seemed internally and externally exactly like...themselves. You wrote an excellent Clark here, especially with the fear and frustration and the loss of his powers. Your Bruce is perfect--the model of the Bruce I would always want to write but often can't capture. The sex scene was sweet and hot at the same time. And I just loved the way Bruce just...capitulated at the end. His, "Of course I do," just killed me ded. I loved this, Rach. Kudos. I have to go read it again...

Phew! I'm so glad you liked it. As I was telling you, I struggle with non-comedy writing. I love that episode so much, though, that I had to write this.

Aw, thanks so much! I know I felt better going to bed having finally finished this story!

I love the Hereafter episode, and it would be interesting to see what would have been different if Batman had been transported as well. But then we wouldn't have gotten all that delicious brooding.

Oh, this was delightful! I enjoyed reading this so much! Whee! Buddy road trip with benefits!

Bruce had insisted, correctly, that they take the fuel-efficient compact, leaving Clark to gaze longingly at the vintage red Thunderbird that had also made the strange journey to this planet.

*giggles quite a lot*

Secretly he was nervous about putting sharp objects to his skin. He was uncomfortable with bleeding, even the slightest amount.

Heh, love your touches of powerless Clark. I'm in the middle of writing a story similar to this with Clark dealing with a red sun (it seems to be my week for being redundant with better fics!) and so it tickled me to see details like this.

It's ok Bruce. It's just a dream. Wake up and you'll see that were trapped in an endless wasteland in god knows what galaxy, marching toward our inevitable deaths together. Everything is fine.Also made me giggle, a little more wryly. I could definitely see Clark thinking this. The sex was--as always for my go-to smut writer--wonderful, and I really enjoyed your ( ... )

If Bruce had been there, they would have taken the compact. Bruce is more sensible than Clark.

I am looking forward to your red sun story! I love a powerless Clark sometimes.

Yeah...I had considered having Savage play an actual part in this story. My original plan was to make this story very epic and long, and pretty much start from the beginning of Hereafter pt.2 and go right to the end of it and beyond. But I was a little short on time, and thought it would be a good challenge to teach myself to trim down my writing a little.
