I love the Hereafter episode, and it would be interesting to see what would have been different if Batman had been transported as well. But then we wouldn't have gotten all that delicious brooding.

Bruce had insisted, correctly, that they take the fuel-efficient compact, leaving Clark to gaze longingly at the vintage red Thunderbird that had also made the strange journey to this planet.

Heh, love your touches of powerless Clark. I'm in the middle of writing a story similar to this with Clark dealing with a red sun (it seems to be my week for being redundant with better fics!) and so it tickled me to see details like this.
It's ok Bruce. It's just a dream. Wake up and you'll see that were trapped in an endless wasteland in god knows what galaxy, marching toward our inevitable deaths together. Yeah...I had considered having Savage play an actual part in this story. My original plan was to make this story very epic and long, and pretty much start from the beginning of Hereafter pt.2 and go right to the end of it and beyond. But I was a little short on time, and thought it would be a good challenge to teach myself to trim down my writing a little.
