After about like two hours of scouring Ebay for a decently priced obi to go with my kimono, I give up.

I'm just going to wear Akizuki the emo samurai to Sakura Gathering (Lol, you can get emo photos of me now, evalime) and then maybe Tetsu or just something fashionably cute on the a second day ( Read more... )

Everything is pretty impressive, even the old stuff!

My early cosplays are probably better left unposted. I'm sure I'll get the (alcohol-enhanced) courage to do it soon though :P

Dull a katana? You could maybe take sandpaper or something equally rough to it, although the sword might cut it... Scraping it on the pavement would probably do the trick ;D

Haha, thanks! I seem to always choose wtf-how-do-I-make-this-work-irl kinda outfits. <3

I kind of wish my first costumes were lol-worthy. XD;

I think a friend mentioned running a smooth/round stone on the blade but I'm scared my hand'll slip and I'd cut myself...
