Another trial come and gone, and another attempt of theirs at placating their raw materials. Perhaps I have been here for too long, already.

With that, one must wonder-- what would it take, on their part, for you to be at ease with the actions of the scientists here? For you to accept your status as their experiments...what are you worth?

Do you mean that you are worth nothing, or that they can do nothing to make up for this?

For the living, it's the worst. For the dead, afterlife is no worse place.

Is this truly the worst way of living you can imagine?

I'm a nation.

[As in: It is not about the immediate living conditions, he knows worse is possible. But about the fact that he is away from home.]

[ Mostly picks up on the last part of that. ]

I see. And so, that form of existence is what matters.

It's what we are.

It is somewhat different than the pride of human raw materials.

How?

[He has his answers, even though he would most certainly phrase them differently, but he's interested in Huey's.]

Your own pride does not allow you to become less than what you are. Theirs, however, is something that can be set aside if necessary.

A nation's pride is also their people's pride and strenght.

A nation is only as good as its people, is it?

We're mostly what they are.

[Avoiding the answer, because "good" and "bad" is a dangerous way to think about nations.]

They decide, then, your worth?
