The end of another year...though to some, it is a day of some importance, it is, in the end, little more than yet another day in a long history of the same.
Of course, this place does indeed create some deviations from that history-- for example, my own arrival here, little more than seven months ago, was something that, in that previous world, had been marked by this very day.
Even so, I suppose that does not have any meaning, now.
