[ clearly, someone has not been using this device enough. a jolt, but there is silence for some time, along with the sound of wind, faintly. when at last a voice can be heard, possibly familiar, it probably sounds somewhat different than usual, considerably less neutral. perhaps rattled, maybe even unhappy somehow. abnormal. ]

[and you get a smile right back, except where-as often times he tends to keep them on a relatively low creepy level, this one is about as fake as yours but infinitely more unnerving. it's what happens when you have a unique selection of nightmares and hallucinations to live with, and though it hasn't affected him emotionally, he is... kind of not all there.]

Nothing I'm not already getting used to. Tell me, are you enjoying yourself as much as everyone else seems to be at the moment? You could share stories. In fact I really do insist. I believe everyone should.
