so when i said i didn't think i could make a bigger mess? i was wrong. things would've been fine if i hadn't of had to actually talk to Ralph, but i did. i'm not even going to go into how mortified i was to find out Isabella's an empath, because just...lord. we were at the bar doing the girl's night out for Eva and Ralph gives her the anti-violence

So you have a plan that you won't share with the person that you are helping, and you are only telling me tidbits?

*sighs and rubs his forehead* Tell me exactly, why is this a good plan? If you can't even tell people you trust the full details?

*frowns*

but i did tell you the details, i think. you said i can't thrall him, so i have to come up with some way to snoop around. and i've seen him checking me out, so it'll be easy to flirt with him and get him to take me to his house. 'cause hey, i can do flirting. and with the drug, i can knock him out and do what i need to before safely making my exit.

and why is this a good plan? because it's better than trying to subtley ask him questions so i can read his mind and hope he doesn't catch on.

*raises an eyebrow at him*

i didn't tell anyone because of the look you're giving me now and because i'd have you and this person i'm helping trying to talk me out of it or following me. kind of hard to be stealthy if i have y'all hanging over my shoulder to make sure he doesn't do anything.

Are you sure thats just it? I mean Ev, there's a reason neither of us would agree to the plan. You know that.

Wouldn't it be easier just to torture him until he gives you what you want? I mean you know he's not a good guy right? I mean your plan, a lot can go wrong. And what if he doesn't tell you the information he wants? I mean sure I know the basics about this demon because I've taken down a few and worked with some, but come on I'm no expert.

You won't tell me who is helping you, why you are doing this, and why all the secrecy? I mean come on Ev, it won't take me long to figure out. Who helped us in the apocalypse and has a Kaliff demon working for them? I mean those things aren't as common as vacuum cleaners.

*gives him a pleading look, hates not being able to tell him but knows she can't*

Yuff, i can't tell you, i'm sorry. And he's not mine to torture or i'd gladly do it. the element of surprise is critical here, no one can know that the person i'm helping has figured out the Kaliff betrayed them.

*sighs*

i'm doing it because this person is in danger and they're a friend, i happened to stumble upon the situation and was able to help. the same as if you needed my help. i just, i can't tell you, i'm sorry. i promised.

hey, how have you been, by the way? i know we haven't seen much of each other lately.

*shrugs* Me? I've been fine. Trying to find a new job, contemplating how to quit the old one without getting my head blown off. Not to mention looking after Benny and trying to calm Eric and Nick down about the toads in the office is a full time job in itself. Though I'm not really sure why I'm letting her keep the toads.

[evalon]

*looks surprised but concerned for him*

you're leaving the evil council? wow, that's awesome, Yuff. but isn't it kind of hard to leave that sort of job? kind of like trying to leave the mafia, i'd think. they'll let you, though, right? i don't know if there's anything i can do, but if you need help all you have to do is say the word.

*blinks*

I am not going to let you do anything to get invovled with the council Ev. Believe me, its better if you just let me handle that for everyone.

*shrugs* Yeah its hard, thats why I haven't done it yet. Currently I'm looking for a loop hole to use to get out.

*arches a brow at him*

okay, but if you need anything, research, money to bribe people with, i'm your girl.

*tilts her head, thinking*

so do you have like a contract with them? because maybe Evan could help find you a loophole?

*gives her a pleading look, because he knows that look like she doesn't believe him* Believe me Ev, I can handle this. It would be safer for everyone, the council is evil, and the less people they know I'm invovled with, the better. Please, I'm begging you, I don't want anyone to get hurt because of me. Not anymore.

And yeah, Evan was the one i was thinking of contacting. I know nothign about the law, and even less about contracts. But I'm sure he would help, and they wouldn't mess with someone from Wolfram and Hart.

*looks alarmed at how desperate he seems, but understands*

Yuff, i wouldn't do anything unless you asked me, and you're asking me not to so i won't. swear. i know it's the high council of evil, i know what they're capable of, i just wanted to make sure you knew if you need anything...you know i'll always help you if you need or want it.

*nods*

good, Evan's good at what he does. and i know he'd help you if he could.

*smiles a little ruefully*

yeah, one of the perks of working for an evil law firm i guess is the other big evil in town doesn't usually mess with you.
