things have gone from bad to worse here. being put in a jail where they're sure to eventually kill you? bad. being put in a jail because the magistrate guy is evil and not simply a human? worse. the only good thing was finding Izzy and Stefan finally. unfortunately, what their farmer friend told us was not cool. this magistrate guy's been involved in his own personal game of serial killer for decades, apparently.
Astraeia was able to find all kinds of weird stuff in his office the other day, including some strange ring. we had all gone out saturday night to check out the woods, and we found something that looks like an altar. it was made out of stone and there was dried blood all over it. sacrifices, lovely. bet that's what he uses the knife for that Astraeia found with the ring. we could just get Iz and Stef and get the hell out of here, but we don't know how long we'll have to wait to be pulled out of this horrible place. that and we can't just leave this guy to continue his slaughter of this town's women and children. our mission to find Stefan and bring him back has become a mission to stop this monster before we leave as well. don't ask me how, 'cause i have no clue yet.
what i do know is they had planned on putting Astraeia and i on trial today, but earlier this morning a group of townsfolk came into the jail to see us. they didn't say anything to us but i could hear them whispering about if we were there, then it couldn't have been us to take 'her', whoever her is. sounds like another person has disappeared and our trial has been delayed. thank the gods, too, since i wasn't looking forward to either being forced to leave Astraeia here or being pulled out into broad daylight for the trial.
we've got to come up with a plan, but i'm not sure either of us sneaking out to discuss it with Iz or Stefan is a good idea. the townspeople are starting to doubt it could be us if we're locked in here, and there's been more than a few of them hanging around the jail today. if one of us is suddenly gone, we'll be right back to guilty.
