Prinzessin Fantaghiro
Well this will certainly need some explanation. :P
This was made as a birthday present for a very good friend of mine.

So the weird thing about this image (aside from me actually making a decent background...*checks to see if pigs are flying finally*), will be that the only people I think who might recognise her will be the European users. The girls name is Princess/Prinzessin Fantaghiro from well...Princess Fantaghiro mini-series. XP
The series is a german/italian coproduced show of "Mulan-meets-Lord of the rings-plus-Harry Potter-slash-Sailor Moon...now that I think about it that sounds like true epic made, sadly the series had its flaws. But for me the first few episodes were the best, and when I found out that my friend Wahiba also used to watch this show when she was a kid, this image came to life. ;D
I had a lot of fun with this image, especially her haiiiir, sooo currrly. XDD
I actually watched the first part of the series while sketching out the chibi image and in the meantime made sketches for my self as reference..

(This show had the outrageous sentenced from the 90s. soooo corny yet lovable. XDD)

Ah and the token love interest. He was sooo much like Chiba Mamoru/Tuxedo Mask it is ridicilous. XDD
Had a huuuge crush on him when I was young. Still kinda have, I MEAN JUST LOOK AT HIM DAMN! XD`
The infamous scene from the show where the two meet for the first time,...well ok their eyes cross but hey it still was a hellofalott better than Pocahontas or godforbid twilight. XP

I wanted to practice drawing the helmets of the three sisters, if I wanted to use it somehow in my chibi image...but Fantaghiro's helmet was sooo bad and did not have a good reference that I just gave up.
Still those helmets `ROCK!`
....
I hated this guy.
He was soo infuriating with his wise/corny/overthetop speech that just-ugh!
Still, I found it immensely funny that Fantaghiro could NEVER figure out who the White Witch he/she really was.
This girl can run a whole army, battle evil with a Beatles-style-Arthur-hair, and NOT figure this out??? ...wut?
