Have I ever mentioned my all-time favorite part of The Matrix? I lie, my favorite part is the helicopter scene - but coming in a *very close second* is when they storm the building lobby.
Have I ever mentioned that the movie Desperado, while ridiculously overblown, contains one of the awesomest images that ever awesomed wherein Antonio and Salma are striding across rooftops in slow-mo while multiple grenades blow up behind them?

There's something so undeniably bad-ass about the guy who DOESN'T EVEN TURN AROUND while shit blows up behind him. And he's not running to get away, he's just kinda...strolling. In his hotass leather pants. In slow motion. While the wind from the EXPLOSION HE JUST CREATED blows his hair around. In slow motion. (Me, I'd be all, shouldn't we be running for our lives? Ooo, pretty fire! Are the flames supposed to look like that? etc., which is why I am not a bad-ass action hero type.) Dude. Just- Love it.
And then the warehouse? Looking angsty and hot? Strategically placed weapons? Doing slow motion rolls in his hotass leather pants? Massively outnumbered? AND HE KICKS THEIR FUCKING ASSES IN HIS HOTASS LEATHER PANTS!!!?! Um, I thought that part was good too.
I also may have watched McKay get shot in the ass about a gazillion times by now. And funny drugged McKay! And Sheppard's conversation with Teyla! And the "caveman" bit! See, I'm not shallow! Much! There was character stuff too that I really liked, but... mostly I was all about the slow-mo and the shit blowing up and the hotass leather pants. This ep? Chock full of goodness.
