What have I been learning this Christmas break?
-It's so nice to be home. Familiar places and friends where things make sense (most of the time). Seville was certainly a great ride, but I'm glad to be in ol' Michigan.
-One major thing that still doesn't make sense is my parents' divorce. My poor mom ends up having to answer the majority of our questions, too, since dad's rarely here. And tomorrow we have to see the Miller side of the family which means lots of awkwardness and confusion, as well as avoiding the sympathetic "How are you??" questions. This bites. No, this more than bites. This is as close to unbearable as we can get right now. And mom hasn't even signed the papers.
-I'm finding myself getting closer to a good friend of mine, but I still get that nagging feeling of "not ready, not ready, not ready..." as well as my mind saying "you can't trust him!" What reason do I have to not trust him? Oh, that's right, he's male. Yes, I'm aware that's a crappy reason. I'm working on it.
-Espresso makers and funny movies make for great escapes. Not to mention time taking care of Paco's lovely cat, Bella. I miss my cat.
When will life start getting easy again??
