Ahh Chicago. Fun city, lots of good sights, makes your feet hurt a ton, though! The best news is that we got my visa application turned in (woot!!). We did that at 9:00 and, Justin was right, all you do is just turn in your materials and then they tell you to call back in about 2 weeks to see if it's ready. Wow. That was stressful... Although saying that, it was ironic that it truly WAS stressful for me. Odd. In any case, it's still not bad here. Yesterday was completely packed with things to do. We packed about 2-3 days worth of stuff into one. We were going from 7:30 until 10 yesterday. So, today we're going out to China town sometime, walking around there, getting Dimsum (sp?) yet I have no idea what that really is, and then we're having dinner with a family friend from Lombard who I barely remember!! This weekend will be filled with two things. 1) Other people saying to me "Look how much you've grown!! I knew you when you were first born. 2) Me saying "I don't remember any of these people." To make it clear as to why these statements will be said, my dad's hosting a reunion of students from his orchestra from when we lived here. Joys upon joys. Well, I will say that we met two of these people yesterday, and one of them was incredibly fun. And, it is certainly fun to meet people that know my dad in such a different way than I do. Plus, this dude was hilarious. In any case, 3 more days here, and then I'm back to the real world. Happy Memorial Day weekend!
