Art Imitates Life
Tomorrow, I am going to do something that I haven't done in a long time, and that is art. I've been doing a lot of corporate design lately, but I haven't really drawn or anything just for the fun of it in a while, just to remember what I love about art in the first place.
I have to say that when there isn't a computer involved, my art it pretty bad, like drawing skill level of a five year old, however art for art's sake is fun and thats what I love about it - whether I am good or not is irrelevant to me; it is the feeling of creating something with my own hands and imagination that I am after.
To get back into the art mood, I watched the DVD extra's to Tensei Kenpuu yesterday, to watch Ohno do what he does best (well, other than Arashi) and that is make things. His happy face, while being creative, and watching his own work come to life before him, is probably one of the main reasons I love him. I like that we can loose ourselves in creativity the same way, it makes me feel closer to him in understanding, even though we are worlds apart. Ohno inspires me to keep creating.

Its this kind of face, and the way he can get so excited, that makes me love Ohno. And makes me so proud of him and amazed by him. His talent is beyond anything I can describe

Aside from happy art smiles, the serious face Ohno makes where art is concerned is the best. It makes me hope that one day I can reach a level where I can also make a serious face, and that all my concentration will actually create something beautiful.
