My christmas shopping is nearly done. I did most of it online this year, as I've found that my tolerance for malls has zeroed out, and I honestly just don't have the time anymore to really go out to shop.

On a good note, I sold $230 worth of jewelry to a woman I work with, and two other women are buying some necklaces from me that'll give me another $200. All of it will be going straight into the new car fund, which is slowly growing. Slower than I'd like, but with christmas and adam's birthday both being this month, I haven't been able to stash much of my paycheck.

It snowed a little bit the other day. More specifically, it sleeted, then it rained, then it sleeted again, then it snowed, then it sleeted and rained some more, and then it snowed again. You can imagine what that did to the roads out here, and the drivers. The highways were cleared pretty fast, but the road I live on? No such luck. My car couldn't make it, so my dad had to come get me. There wasn't really that much snow (no more than an inch or two in most places), but it sure did render everyone into panicked, frantic drivers. I'm sure the stores all ran out of milk and bread and kerosine in record time.

and I'd just like to give out a big "screw you" to my place of employment, for not having any sort of employee only parking spots, and for making us women wear heels and dress boots. Do you know how much of a pain it is to have to hike across a large ice covered lot in heels?? I've been wearing my steel toed work boots into the building, and then changing into my "nice" boots once I get inside. I don't fancy a fall in the lot because the president of the university wants us to dress in impractical shoes.
