So, I go to work yesterday, and am immediately informed that my favorite manager, Tiffany, has put in her 2 weeks. Right before the holiday season. Another manager, Laura, quit a few weeks ago. So now we're down to one manager. They've hired another girl, but she doesn't have any management experience. How will that help us? I predict added responsibility in my future. Tiffany's reason for quitting is the fact that she really doesn't get along with our DM, Lisa. Well, no one does. And you haven't gotten along with her for 6 years. One more month wouldn't have killed you. Worst possible timing.
Another quitter is my business of photography teacher, Joanie. I'm more sympathetic towards her. In class today, she informs us that she has tendered her resignation. Apparently, she has a mole in her night class who has been making weekly reports to the higher ups about her unorthodox teaching methods. About which none of us in her day class has complained. The school cancelled her spring classes without telling her, and reprimanded her on a weekly basis for letting us out early (it's a 3 hour class...who among us can pay attention that long?) letting us eat in class, and inviting her night class out for drinks after class. Oh, and not having us sign release forms to leave campus. This is college, folks. And I have never signed such a form for any of my other classes. But Joanie says we can still call her if we have questions, and will even help us get jobs. It's a shame that she's leaving because she really loved teaching. She didn't do it for the money (her husband is one of the best photographers in Nashville) and I'm really going to miss having class in her kick-ass house.
Anyone else quitting I should know about?
