I must admit that I haven't really been a big follower of
BLEACH since the first few seasons. (Quite ironic considering my avatar, huh?) Like NARUTO, it's gotten a bit long for me in the past few years. When the stories started focusing a lot more on the side characters like Orihime--whom I don't care for too much, to tell the truth--Chad & Uryu--whom against my better nature, I really like :) -- his family & school mates, I started tuning off the series and stopped following it regularly on TV. But, recently, when the stories returned to Aizen & focused again on the Soul Reapers, I've been induced to return to watching.
I have, of late, been pretty religious in following
Season 13 of the series. This season focuses on the Zanpakuto, or the "spirits" living within the swords of the Soul Reapers. It's been pretty good so far and it's really intriguing how each Zanpakuto is manifested in the episodes. (Of course, the yaoi fangirl in me has been rejoicing a bit over the Zanpakuto manifestations, particularly Byakuya's Senbonzakura and Toshiro's Hyorinmaru. *squee*) I'm pretty intrigued by the dynamic that's shaping between Rukia and Byakuya as well, as subtly portrayed by the reactions of their Zanpakuto to each other. All in all, I think the series is proving to be too intriguing once again for me to miss. It's certainly put the excitement back in watching the series for me. Plus, I can't believe I got tired of watching all the bishie Soul Reapers! What in the world was I thinking???!!! ;)
