I let the kids play outside with the neighbors while I was cooking dinner. Maddy ran back in after about ten minutes complaining that I should occupy Nick. "If I watch him, I can't play and have fun!"

My reply?

"Welcome to motherhood!"

She didn't appreciate my sense of humor. ;)
