I haven't been ignoring this place other than fic, promise!
It's been kinda hectic with the kids, between doing the regular everyday routines, work stuff and then trying to do something in the evening for myself. I've been missing a bunch of my 4 am alarm wake ups, so I've also gone on the treadmill in the evening after putting the kids to bed. I did that last night, even, intending to wake up at 4 am this morning, but I slept through the alarms, didn't hear the start of the 4:30 am alarm (even though it blares like crazy) and heard the 5 am one. ::facepalm:: I've tried cutting back a bit on portion sizes, but the snacking and stress aren't awesome. So I gained a bit more weight according to the scale this morning. I should try to lose fifteen pounds. Maybe then I wouldn't be so tired in the morning?
The kids have been whiny, disrespectful, yelling, and even got Nick screaming for an hour and a half yesterday afternoon just because. He's been hitting and kicking me, going all limp noodle when I try to do things with him. And did I write about Zach's ER visit? A kid at day care had been pushing and shoving while lining up to go outside two weeks ago, and then he fell into a coat hook. He got a staple at the ER, no concussion or anything, and went right back to day care. The staple came out Friday, and he has been doing really well. Maddy has her moments where she says "I love you" to me and hugs me, but then she also takes off and demands crap even after I tell her no. In other words, they're average kids for their stage of development. They just tire me out.
Nick is getting huge. This morning he went into the bathroom and wanted to go on the potty. Of course, once I put him on it, he freaked out. Taking out the training potty and having him sit on it freaked him out, too. But he wanted to! So maybe potty training him will be easier than the other two? *crosses fingers*
