Is it bedtime yet?

My day hasn't even started, and I already want to crawl back into bed.

I did get a good night's rest, and I woke with my alarm when it first went off, got on the treadmill, did my morning routine. It's that Nick flailed and kicked and fought me every step of the way, wailing with getting changed, diapered, going all limp noodle-y when I tried to get him into his high chair to eat oatmeal, wailing and wailing and wailing the entire morning. And as we drove to day care, he was fine. ::facepalm::

I haven't really updated much personal stuff lately, sorry. Same old, same old for the most part. Wake up early on most days, treadmill for an hour, morning routine punctuated by a series of alarms, off to work, home for dinner afterward if it's not my day to pick up the boys. Last Wednesday I also picked up Maddy after her Girl Scout meeting. Friday was the Father-Daughter dance, which Maddy enjoyed a lot. Saturday, the kids were determined not to listen to me ever, even going so far as to sit in their underwear even after I told them five times during my bath (all three paid a visit periodically) and yelled twice, and then said they wouldn't be able to go to the library. Eight times is more than enough, so we stayed home. Then the older two actually wondered why we weren't leaving. And then they didn't understand why they couldn't have TV or any electronic devices to play with. ::facepalm::

So I did more laundry, finished up Maddy's infinity scarf, and even embellished it with a heart for Valentine's day with leftover purple yarn, which was a nice contrast to the light pink of the scarf. She was so jazzed, she wore it for our outing to Disney on Ice. I missed the turn into the parking lot because the GPS didn't mention it, of course, and I hadn't been there before, so I wound up parking in Fox 11's lot next door. Heh. We had a longer walk, but didn't pay for parking and still got there on time. So I splurged when Maddy whined that she was hungry and thirsty again, and paid for overpriced snow cone in a Cinderella mug and popcorn in a commemorative bag (same quality as the Subway kids meals ones) and a light up wand. The show was great, and I took tons of pics and video.

Sunday I started Zach's red scarf, though it took me three tries to figure out how the start of it should go. Starting is hard for me, still, and I did have two holes in it from missed stitches as I was knitting while watching a movie. I liked it more than Jason did, but it was definitely more my kind of movie. :) Maddy wanted to relearn how to knit, so once I started the first two rows, she went over the knit stitch again. She got most of the next row, but when I went to the garage to inflate my tires a bit, she messed up her stitches without me looking over her shoulder, and I wasn't good enough to figure out how to fix them. With her permission, I tore it all out and redid the initial rows, then helped her do it over again. She did a few more last night, and I finished the row. This morning, Jason had a great idea to patch up the bigger hole I made last night. With leftover white yarn from the scarf Maddy and I are making my friend, I can embellish Zach's red scarf with a lightning bolt like the Flash. Zach is so excited now. :)
