When you've got that smile on your face

Nick had his physical therapy session last night, and he is doing great. He has a farther reach, scoots forward on his butt, can tolerate standing with support a lot better, even takes guided steps. He still cries when on his belly to set up for a crawl, but he can tolerate that more than before. So he's doing great overall and we can keep up with the work we've been doing. Well, it's work but it's the fun kind. Basically we keep sitting up with feet flat and he reaches for things, and more of the guided standing and stepping to get him cruising. We may just skip crawling since he hates it so much. But Nick definitely loves moving around and is reaching for lots of stuff. He still prefers being held and cuddled, of course, but I've been trying not to do only that. :)

The older kids can be frustrating at times with their attitudes and not always following directions, but they're little and we're all kinds of stubborn and stuff. We did go to the Maritime Museum on Saturday and had a fairly laid back Sunday. I even got naps on both days, yay. Not that I don't still feel tired anyway, but those naps went a long way in helping me feel better. I even wrote a bunch of stuff in a notebook that I transcribed yesterday that came out to a whole chapter. I managed to do a lot of writing yesterday and did some knitting while watching stuff on the DVR. I'm actually getting kind of good at the knit stitch, yay. Jason still makes fun of the weird poofy thing I did in the beginning. I'm now saying that it can be used to cover the face and neck in the middle of winter. Or something. I'm sure it'll be warm when I'm done with it! :)
