(no subject)
Considering the fact that Tosh has been getting the blue screen of death on a daily basis, I am currently backing up the music, video and picture downloads to my Firelite and Seagate drives. The plan is to reinstall the OS tomorrow, in case that went hinky, since the crashes were intermittent before. I know I'm hella hard on laptops (I regularly wear off keys, once burned out a processor, that kind of thing), so 3.5y is not too bad of a track record for me. But it shouldn't take ten minutes for Firefox to let me access my mail because it's not responding, or for the evil demon Word to freeze up when I load up a longer document. I keep the Siege series arcs in separate docs, but had to split the third one because of the freezing issue. I mostly avoid that with the fourth arc because I do most of the writing on my work laptop over lunch, and I haven't destroyed that one yet. But I have had this one only a few months, so it's going to be a while before I ruin it. Haha.
So no picspam to my journals yet... I'm posting this from my kindle. Considering I have the one model Acer with no backup software and I have never made my own ever, I hope this works. I really really really don't want to deal with Windows 8. It makes Vista look awesome.
