My poor Tosh. Just about every page leads to unresponsive script warnings or "not responding" micro freezes. And my phone battery must be dying, since it only seems to hold a charge for half a day. I honestly don't want a new phone, since I like the slide out keyboard. So the phone isn't a good alternative to check my e-mail, since that drains out the battery even faster. And I still love my netbook. It just takes a ridiculous amount of time to get stuff loaded. Once it's loaded, I'm okay to write. When it tries to do the background optimization, it freezes. Of course, if new laptops didn't come with Windows 8, I might be seriously looking for alternatives. :(
Anyway, the weekend was fairly laid back, with occasional trouble spots. As in, some times when the kids (mostly Zach) acted up and was punished. Overall, it went okay. Prolly too much TV, especially yesterday, but they did play with toys and Maddy did do some reading. I even got some writing in, mostly during pump times, tho.
Today is Maddy's first day of school. We did meet her teacher during Orientation last year, and Maddy is jazzed to take the bus to kindergarten. She was shy, which I hope improves over time. Her orientation packet included alphabet flash cards, after all, and Maddy is reading Level Three books. I keep telling her to be proud of what she knows and to let her teacher be aware of what she can do so that she won't be bored. Hopefully she does.
Sigh. It has taken me forever to write this entry. Time to get my morning started.
