(no subject)
All righty then. While Jason is home, he is going to factory reset Tosh. That means this evening, whatever he doesn't feel like upgrading/updating, I get to do. So the list I have set right now is:
And I think that's it to start. Then I transfer over my pics, music and bookmarks. That will take a while because of the sheer volume, but then I'll be all set. I'm usually a minimalist when it comes down to progs, and things had gotten hella cluttered on Tosh anyway. This should help things run smoother, prolly.
I have Thursday and Friday off. Aside from the appointment to get the Mirena, I plan to do some epic writing. As long as I don't touch Tumblr or Facebook, anyway. :D
ETA, 12:41 pm: Apparently, the recovery process failed. In addition, Jason couldn't find the recovery software on the notebook, the control+f10 isn't working, and it actually crashed on him with a blue screen and black screen of death. Sigh. So I'll have to deal with the freezing and crashing for now. Boo.
- Upgrade the starter OS to Windows 7 Ultimate
- Upgrade starter to full Office Suite
- Install System Mechanic
- Download Avast
- Download Firefox
- Download WinRAR
- Download Winamp
- Download VLC player
