Oh, look! Another actual post about stuff that isn't fic! I know, I'm shocked, too. ;)
We knew we weren't going to have a babysitter yesterday, so Jason had already canceled the Pathfinder game session. So after church, Zach went down for his nap since he was getting cranky. He's not usually a crankypants, so that's usually a big clue that he's getting tired. Molding to me when I pick him up and yawning are other really big clues. :)
While he was napping, Maddy didn't want to nap because she was too keyed up and excited for the other birthday party she was invited to. And given that she doesn't always actually sleep during her nap times anymore, we had her start to clean stuff around the house. Spring cleaning. Hey, it was about 40 degrees, that totally counts as spring right now. haha. Maddy got really into it, though. She was all excited to find a place for her toys and books, got rid of old shoes in her wardrobe that were too small and holes in them anyway, clearing away artwork she didn't want to keep anymore and making everything neat and orderly. She said she's preparing for when the bunk beds get installed and she shares a room with Zach. When he got up from his nap, he joined in and we rearranged toys in his room. He even got out the toy vacuum cleaner while Jason vacuumed, and was so proud. Zach even did two small poops on the potty chair. Then, as a treat, we all sat down for a little Magic Schoolbus on DVD before Maddy went to the birthday party and the rest of us went out to eat as usual.
And it was cute... At bedtime, Maddy gave my middle an extra hug and a little kiss for her unborn baby brother. *squishes my babies*
