My baby is 2!
Yesterday, Zachary turned 2! He moved up to the two year old room, and apparently there was no real transition at all. He hung out with the other 2 year olds as if he was always in that room, and had a great time. He and Maddy were running around as usual when I got home from work. After dinner was cake and opening the presents that his grandparents sent. He tossed aside the clothes but tore into the Lincoln Logs. So did Maddy, actually. :)
Something happened to our furnace at some point in the evening, though. There was no heat output, tho hot water and the fireplace works well. It went down to 56 overnight (I know that, because I checked at 2:30 am when I put Zach back into bed and tucked him in again) and with the fireplace going this morning, it was 61 when I left. Of course, it is -5 degrees outside and will go up to a high of 10 degrees today, -2 with windchill. Polar vortex, take 2. At least it's not -17 with -40 windchill. I'll take this over that. Jason's going to call the heating company we've used to see if they can send someone out this afternoon to work on the furnace. Hopefully there will be heat!
