I've been up pretty late in the past few days, between the surprise shower Thursday, gaming on Friday (OMG, I'm actually not dead, even though the week before I was two boxes away from maxing out my overflow damage meter...) and then watching Deathly Hallows Part 2 on Saturday night. I really liked seeing the Gringotts theft and Battle of Hogwarts, though I still loathe the Epilogue. I find it funny that Jay hates it, too, though he hates it for slightly different reasons. I hate it because of the atrocious names and lack of apparent social change in 19 years. (I'm a ficcer, so sue me that I pay attention to these things...) He thought it was lame and would have rather seen Hogwarts rebuilt, as well as what happened to other characters. He hadn't read any of the books, so sometimes he had to ask me things about what happened. I'm a little surprised I remember as much as I do sometimes. lol. The names weren't really mentioned in the Epilogue, so he couldn't hate on them as much I do. lol.
The lack of naps on Maddy's part plus the natural state of the toddler leads to some extra special tired on my part, tho. She refused to nap, playing quietly in her room, singing or coming out to go potty every 20-30 minutes. Finally I gave up trying to make her nap, and she actually wanted to Skype with my mother. No, really. She did. Shocked me, for certain. My Mom wasn't home, so I figured I would go out shopping for a few extra things for Jay. Aiya, big mistake. Well, no, I can't really say that. She did fine until it was time to pay at the register. She wanted to run around in circles and wouldn't stay next to me, then she didn't want to leave the store, didn't want to put on her coat, and nearly took off running to the other side of the store. I managed to get her next to me by holding her Pillow Pet, then wrangled her into her coat. She slumped to the floor wailing she didn't want to leave, so I actually had to pick her up and struggle through the parking lot with her. I snapped by the time I buckled the both of us in, tbh. Not my shining moment. :( She fell asleep on the drive home, woke a bit when I got her into the house, woke up the rest of the way when Indy licked her face, was all waily and stuff for a bit more. After laying her down in her room for a while, she finally did calm down and apologize for screaming at me and not listening. I apologized for yelling at her.
Going to bed early last night definitely helped me be more alert this morning, even if my back and hips still hurt like a bitch. Maddy was a boneless noodle as she slid out of bed and draped herself over me this morning, but I handled her whining a lot better and got her through the morning routine just fine. She would probably wake a lot better if she stopped visiting the potty four times to keep herself awake. Though her Pull Up was dry this morning, so it's a toss up.
Let's see how today goes. It's my next OB visit this afternoon.
ETA 3:50 pm:
I've gained another three pounds for a total of 20 pounds gained over the past 35 weeks. BP 100/58. UA still negative. His heart rate's fine, though she didn't mention the particular rate. My next appointment is in little over a week. I get to have weekly appointments until I actually pop now.
And in other news... WHERE DID MY FREE TIME GO???? I was supposed to have such huge blocks of free time in my schedule, and I was planning to go through my patient list or write. My entire schedule just about back to back instead. It's not like I can tell everyone to stop freaking out about stuff, but honestly.... Stop freaking out! :)
